Commissioning of USS Thomas Hudner

MCV will have the great honor of performing at the Commissioning Ceremony for the USS Thomas Hudner, a new US Navy ARLEIGH BURKE class destroyer. Named in honor of the late Capt. Thomas J. Hudner, Jr., USN (Ret.).

Additional details on the ceremony will be published as they are finalized.

Haverhill Santa Parade

VFWSantaparade

MCV will march in the annual Santa Parade in Haverhill, Massachusetts organized by VFW Post 29.  The parade starts at the Hunking School in Bradford, MA and proceeds through downtown, ending at the VFW post on Kenoza Avenue in Haverhill.

Somerville Veterans Memorial Parade

MCV will march in the first annual Somerville Veterans Memorial Parade in Somerville, Massachusetts on Sunday, November 4th.

The parade will step off at 12:00 pm from Somerville City Hall.

Boston Columbus Day Parade

 

The annual Columbus Day Parade begins in the Suffolk Downs parking lot in East Boston, marches down Bennington Street, and ends at Maverick Square near the waterfront. Come on out to hear MCV and dozens of other marching bands on this festive day.

Sudbury Colonial Faire and Fife & Drum Muster

Annual Colonial faire and fife & drum muster held on the grounds of Longfellow’s Wayside Inn in Sudbury, Massachusetts.  At least 20 fife and drum corps from around New England attend this event that begins with a parade at 12:00 pm followed by the fife and drum muster. 20140927-Sudbury-0090

Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo

 

MCV has the distinct honor of being part of the 1,400 member cast of the 2018 Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, to be held from 3-25 August on the Esplanade in front of Edinburgh Castle in Scotland.

This will be MCV’s second appearance in the Tattoo (our debut was in 2007).
