MCV to perform at 2010 Edinburgh Military Tattoo Salute to Australia
MCV has accepted an invitation from the Edinburgh Military Tattoo to perform in their Salute to Australia Tattoo, to be presented in Sydney, Australia from February 3-9, 2010. Additional details on this grand spectacle will be forthcoming in the next few months. Further information on the Tattoo and MCV's plans for this trip will be posted on our On the Road to Sydney webpage as they become available.
Marching through May
MCV started the month of May with a performance at the William Diamond Muster on May 2, the soggy weather of the prior week cleared in time for a wonderful day of music. The ensemble then marched in three Memorial Day parades : Newton on May 17, Melrose on May 24 and Andover on May 25. Our next appearance will be on June 13 in the 200th Anniverary parade for Tyngsborough and June 14 we will march in the annual Bunker Hill Day parade in Charlestown, MA. Hope to see some of our fans then.

Halifax Tattoo "Preview" A Success/ Patriots Day Weekend
MCV had a busy and successful Patriots Day weekend. The ensemble spent Friday night and all day Saturday in intensive music and drill rehearsals in preparation for our performance at the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo in July. This was followed by a Preview of our Tattoo Show at the Lincoln Salute on Sunday 19 April. The weather was perfect and our performance was well received at the gathering.
MCV then marched in both the C
oncord and Lexington Patriots Day parades on Monday, 20 April, finishing our extended weekend. MCV will next appear at the William Diamond Muster on 2 May in Lexington, MA; we hope to see our fans there!

Marching out of Winter
Our second parade of 2009 was on Sunday, March 29 in Manchester, NH. Unfortunately the beautiful early Spring weather we encountered in Scituate did not hold and Winter made one final appearance, though thankfully no snow. MCV marched on, appearing in our rain uniform and we were greeted by an enthusiastic audience. Our next public performance will be on April 11 in Bedford, Concord and Lincoln, Massachusetts. Please see our Calendar for further information.

A Grand Start to 2009
The 2009 outdoor season officially began on March 15th with MCV's performance in the St. Patrick's Day parade in Scituate, MA. Warmer than usual temperatures helped boost the audience attendance and made for an enjoyable day.
