The excitement is building as we are just one day away from our departure for Scotland and the start of rehearsals for the Edinburgh Military Tattoo. Since all of our uniforms were already on the way to Edinburgh and we still had a public performance at the annual Deep River Muster, the decision was made to somehow celebrate our return tour to the UK yet not show up in pants and polo shirts. We landed upon the uniform of the day being kilts, and pretty much anything else one could come up with. There were many interesting combinations but the award winner of the day was our bass drummer, who appeared in full William Wallace regalia. The reception at the parade and the following on stand performance was tremendous and we were fortunate to have perfect weather for the two day event.
Stay tuned for updates from across the Pond!
