But we were drawn astray for several years by a project of Christmas material, entailing a CD and live concerts. We needed a homecoming. Next are <em>Boston Quick Step<\/em> from The Drummers\u2019 and Fifers\u2019 Guide by Geo B. Bruce and Daniel D. Emmett (1861), <em>Michael Wiggins<\/em> from Riley\u2019s Flute Melodies, and <em>Mississippi Quick Step<\/em>, also from Bruce and Emmett.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hector the Hero <\/strong> &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mcvfifesanddrums.org\/blog\/music\/hector.mp3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">MP3 (570 KB)<\/a><em>Hector the Hero<\/em>, composed by the great Scots fiddler and composer J.
