Ciaglia<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr class=\"feature\">\n<td valign=\"top\" height=\"4\"><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<h2 class=\"title\">Middlesex County Volunteers Media Information<\/h2>\n<p>Members of the<strong> Middlesex County Volunteers Fifes &amp; Drums (MCV) <\/strong> had the distinct honor of performing at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.edintattoo.co.uk\/\"><strong>Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo<\/strong><\/a> in August 2007.\u00a0 This marked the<strong> first fife and drum corps<\/strong> to ever perform at the fifty-seven year-old event, and the <strong>first avocational group<\/strong> from the United States.\u00a0 Previous U.S. representations \u2013 thirteen in the history of the event \u2013 have been either military or university ensembles. Since then, MCV has appeared at the 2009, 2015 and 2024 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nstattoo.ca\/\">Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo,<\/a> the 2010 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mcvfifesanddrums.org\/blog\/SydneyTattoo.html\">Edinburgh Military Tattoo&#8217;s Salute to Australia<\/a>, the 2011 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mcvfifesanddrums.org\/blog\/MalmoTattoo.html\">Sweden International Tatoo<\/a> and the 2012 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mcvfifesanddrums.org\/blog\/BaselTattoo.html\">Basel Tattoo<\/a>.\u00a0 MCV returned to the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo in 2018 and was extremely well received.<\/p>\n<p>Dressed in the 1779 uniform of the Continental Army, the group\u2019s music spans over seven centuries.\u00a0 The group performs an average of 25 times a year, and has produced eight full-length recordings.\u00a0 Often seen as the image of Boston, MCV highlights Boston\u2019s annual <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bostonharborfest.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Harborfest<\/strong><\/a> celebration, and has performed with the <strong>Boston Pops<\/strong> at their July 4th Esplanade concert (most recently in 2022), the Holiday at Pops concert series at Symphony Hall, as well as at Tanglewood and other high profile concerts. Fifers from MCV were guest artists on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bso.org\/brands\/pops\/shop\/six-decades-of-john-williams.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Boston Pops tribute to\u00a0 John Williams CD<\/a>, released in June 2017.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Founded in 1982, Middlesex County Volunteers Fifes &amp;
