Muster Season Starts
MCV performed at the William Diamond Muster on Saturday, 3 May in Lexington, MA. We were also featured performers in the William Diamond Tattoo, held the evening of 2 May, also in Lexington. In spite of challenging weather conditions, both events were held and a full complement of fife & drums corps participated at the Saturday Muster.
Patriot's Day Weekend
In honor of Pariot's Day, MCV marched in the Arington parade (Sunday, April 20) then in Concord and Lexington (Monday, April 21). It has been a long two years since we marched over the Old North Bridge; last year's events were canceled due to a tremendous Nor'easter. This year's events featured plentiful sunshine and on April 21 a tremendous audience up and down the parade routes.
Fife & Flute Arrangements by John Ciaglia and Jim Clark Available
MCV is pleased to announce the launch of our Music Scores section, featuring arrangements by John Ciaglia, Jim Clark and members of MCV. Scored for both Fife and Flute, these popular arrangements are now available for purchase. Our recently updated site now has arrangements that can be heard on MCV's On Christmas Day album, the yet-to-be released Anthems album and on our latest album, In America.

Holiday at Pops: MCV's recent television appearances
In December 2006 MCV performed during three performances of the Boston Pops Holiday at Pops concert series, held in Boston's Symphony Hall. This past December both PBS (national broadcast) and WBZ-TV (local Boston station) presented the televised version of this performance.
MCV at 2007 Edinburgh Military Tattoo
MCV was enthusiastically received at our first appearance
in the Edinburgh
Military Tattoo, held on Edinburgh Castle's fabled Esplanade. We
thank all of you who helped us make this historic journey and welcome you
to read
our Blog that provides highlights of our trip and
to view
a select number of photos from our time at Edinburgh Castle.
The video from the Opening Night show is also available. Please
download the Quicktime movie to your computer
before attempting to view it. The short film features MCV's show at EMT,
as well as our multiple roles in the Music at War piece (drumming, dancing
and shooting, then playing British Grenadiers to close the vignette).

MCV goes Pops on the 4th
MCV was a featured performer at the annual Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular, held at the Hatch Shell on the Charles River Esplanade. The ensemble played Doodletown Fifers with the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, under the direction of conductor Keith Lockhart, and then in the second half accompanied John Mellencamp on a rendition of "Our Country."
The July 3 and 4 concerts came hard on the heels of our performances during Boston Harborfest: two days of "Roves" in Boston on June 30 and July 1, our annual "Drums in the Night" concert on July 2, and the Independence Day parade and concert in Boston on July 4. MCV also marched in the Wakefield 4th of July parade, before being whisked into Boston for the Pops concert.
