MCV performed at the 2012 edition of the Basel Tattoo, held in Basel, Switzerland. This marked MCV's return to the Tattoo, having performed there last in 2005 when the show was known as the Yshalle Tattoo and was held indoors. The Basel Tattoo now is held in front of the historic Kaserne (former military barracks) and is second only to the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo in size and popularity. The Basel Tattoo was held from July 13 - 21, 2012 before an estimated audience of 9,000 per show. MCV also marched in a parade and mini-Tattoo in Freiburg, Germany on Monday, 16 July and the grand Basel Tattoo Parade in Basel on Saturday, 21 July.
